I was recently contemplating over how I very strongly believe their are measurable differences b/w male and female brains. Why then would I not do the same for race? For that I would need to definitively establish how determinate race and gender are on different traits.

Is their a cognitive limit intelligence? If so exactly how does it work? On top of that what exactly is intelligence? Is it one thing? Or many different things? What controls it? What is it measured using? How can we keep track of it? Is it growing?

Even if we were to accept that the idea is true differences within groups would be far to great for the results to have any significant meaning whatsoever. The problem however still comes to defining what we are even talking about.

The brain being malleable and plastic, can in some ways act like a muscle. Train yourself enough and you'll eventually be very good at something. It's not impossible to be a very good in a particular field given enough work.

In some cases if an individual (supposedly with lower IQ) works hard enough they could in principle outcompete someone with less intelligence. Could then his future progeny have a higher IQ then him/her. Are there epigenetic factors at play?

And what are we to make of the effects of upbringing and poverty for certain groups? Discrimination and bias. These factors certainly have a role. I've heard of studies involving twins but they're very inconclusive to make any substantial point regarding the subject.

In all I'm still going around this learning curve trying to understand the nuances of it all. What I do know is NONE of this is deterministic. Given hard work and the right amount of education we might not be able to do EVERYTHING but still something very substantial.

I'm not writing this to establish or state something. What you're hearing is literally my musings and thoughts that are passing through my head. I'm just as unsure as you. But you can be certain no one actually has the definitive answer to these questions yet.

One should always be skeptical of claims that no one can have the answer to a problem yet if the problem is relevant and seems to be accessible with available paradigms. Why wouldn’t you be surprised if the militaries of all larger nations had not figured this out decades ago?
