This represents a misreading of my paper. I asked if we would hit a wall, and impicitly said no, provided that we started doing other stuff like adding in symbol-manipulating primitives. I don't think anybody expects you to give a final verdict before everyone else is dead, but I would certainly approve if you'd dare to mount the stallion of righteous philosophical fury, smite the imbeciles, and accept the wrath of the mediocre.
