The spirit of the Millenials: kindness, cleanliness and safety. The spirit of the forgotten past: love, truth and meaning.https://twitter.com/MicroSFF/status/947481842936147968 …

the millenial soul yearns for an idealized institutional environment. a school or a temple or a forum where we don't feel constantly assailed by cruelty, filth, and threat. the institution is where love, truth, and meaning are to be found. but not our institutions.

I've seen that one actually and agree with it. I'm on the oldest edge of the millenial generation and I see a big gap between my edge of the gen and the younger side of it. the younger part is all-in with institutional/group identity. I'm far enough outside it to see the problem.

I sometimes wonder if the problem is accumulating estrogen in the drinking water or something worse.

More like a lack of estrogen, actually. Estrogen makes people more friendly and playful with others, not more fearful. The Millenials are the more autistic group.

In my experience, aspies tend to be more agreeable, because they are used to not being understood by others. Normies are more prone to group think and often feel that those that don't conform to their cognitive style do it to spite them.

I never said anything about "agreeableness". I said estrogen increases playfulness and lack of fear. Social anxiety is the opposite. (Agreeableness is a different level of personality trait, involving low testosterone.)
