the millenial soul yearns for an idealized institutional environment. a school or a temple or a forum where we don't feel constantly assailed by cruelty, filth, and threat. the institution is where love, truth, and meaning are to be found. but not our institutions.

I've seen that one actually and agree with it. I'm on the oldest edge of the millenial generation and I see a big gap between my edge of the gen and the younger side of it. the younger part is all-in with institutional/group identity. I'm far enough outside it to see the problem.

ha! well, that's a little conspiratorial but who knows? I'd go for "something worse" though where something is institutional corruption due to cultural shifts that started to happen in the 1980s and reached their apex in about 2003.
