I find political discussions on Twitter to have net negative value (insight < attention cost), but I love many of the participants and often share their goals. Please advise!

Even if there are only half truths on twitter, sometimes they allow to triangulate the truth.

I think that most political statements have zero informative value beyond advertising the current ideological mind virus infestations of the one who makes them. I find that more repulsive than politics and any ideology by ifself.

In principle, I agree with you. My assumption is only true if you can cut off ideoliological positions. In this case, the intersection of the different perspectives is closest to the truth. (sometimes)

Das Wort "reduktionistisch" klingt mir zu normativ. Wenn etwas existiert, muss es eine elementare kausal geschlossene Ebene geben, auf der es implementiert ist.
