The goal of studying ideologies is not to sort them into good and evil ones and to pick the best one. The goal is not to move left or right, but up and out. As long as we are triggered by ideology, we know we still carry competing infections.
An ideology is just invasive software. It runs on people, replacing their agency with its own, but that does not turn it into a sentient being we need to respect. Its value is purely instrumental.

I get that ideology can be a kind of infection but our ideologies impact on real people in the real world. So we have a certain accountability to each other for the ideas we hold. This is sacred.

Based on our ideology. From a purely rational perspective, people are just some strain of yeast that is about to face extinction, to be replaced by other yeast until the local sun burns out.
