Productive discourse usually requires mutual identification with the joint process of understanding, not with just the individual progression of insight and especially not with the preservation of existing individual understanding.

It took me a long time to accept that ethical problems sometimes don't have technical solutions. Static group software usually lacks the fluidity required for integrity with a developing group awareness.

Some folks tend to equate the opposition against static codified group norms with the opposition to shared ethical conduct, but the intention is more ethical integrity, not less.
