No offense taken! Based on some people I consider to be knowledgeable, the leaks were correct, which is consistent with the reaction of the involved governments and Snowden himself. It might be an elaborate ruse, but I find it more plausible that detracting from them is a ruse!

That said, some people make the point that there is a very remote chance that prime factorization is in P and a state actor might know but won't deploy it in the larger spy apparatus because that knowledge is far too valuable.
