Ideologies systematically distort world models by introducing a fictional normative prior ("good and evil"). This warping makes it effectively impossible to correctly assess the material effects of policies, and to comprehend all other world models. Ideologues are always pawns.
Moralistic reasoners often assume that because the fully enlightened self interest is morally desirable and stability is a requirement, the force field of the moral dimension can constrain the emergent dynamics so they won't lead into oblivion.
