This is highly dependant on the application i guess? Or can you make this statement in general? Some rare applications just don‘t stand a institutional source of trust.

there is practically always a minimal element of required institutional trust, at least in the org that maintains the integrity of communication itself (how do know you can sync your blockchain tomorrow?), so building an institutional token source is only a matter of cost
