In real world conversations, we share a rich context of opinions, and our statements express a vector based on that context. On Twitter, every sentence may be read as a vector that starts from zero, ending up in opinion hell. I keep forgetting that and lose friends over it.

can an amplitude of your mood swings they can tolerate be a good measure of friendship? perhaps an integral of their tolerance over the range of said amplitude?
