On a positive note, I am optimistic that near term AI technology will mostly obliterate bullshit jobs (transport, retail, packaging), while making the services of experts dramatically better and affordable. There will be a lot more quality jobs, including entirely new professions

The low end jobs won't go away because they already are "perfectly economical" and consist of manual labor. AI won't quickly get us a shelf-filling-bot that knows how to mop up dropped yoghurt. Longer run, at best.

Lower wage people will be exploited like hell. Esp. w/ basic income where company can just tell you "well if you don't WANT that job at $2/hr? all your choice how you're living, right?"

Please rethink in economical terms. People cannot live and be "exploited" at wages below subsistence. If their economic value to the private sector is net negative, we must and will pay them via the public sector.
