On a positive note, I am optimistic that near term AI technology will mostly obliterate bullshit jobs (transport, retail, packaging), while making the services of experts dramatically better and affordable. There will be a lot more quality jobs, including entirely new professions
They probably didn't need architects, veterinarians, nutritionists, custom fashion designers, wall cleaners, euthanasists, bodymodders, divorced parent schedulers, cat psychologists, microfarm technicians, holographic granny nannies, autism whisperers, garden tunnel diggers?

Caprica looks a lot like Vancouver, BC and surrounding areas, particularly West Vancouver and Burnaby, so I’m going to go out on a limb and say they had quite a few of all of those. Maybe not cat psychologists. I didn’t notice any cats in the show.
