Basically, Marx was to Stalin and Mao what Darwin was to Hitler and Mussolini.

Marx was describing the suffering brought on by early capitalism and developed a theory of historical determinism. He was not advocating war

Yet Darwin's theory very accurately describes the biological domain to which it is applicable, but Marx's theory is very inaccurate regarding the historical domain. Additionally, evolution as applied has no moral framework, while communism as applied is itself a moral framework.

All subsequent violence and war supposedly inspired by evolution was caused by the inapropriate construction a moral framework around the theory. Violence and war supposedly inspired by communism was caused by the moral framework that is itself communism.

Marx' idea of intrinsic crisis in capitalism was basically correct. He had no way of foreseeing the horrors of stalinism.

A theory is only correct if it has predictive as well as descriptive power. Marx failed to predict the horrors of Stalinism because his understanding of history, morality, and economics was wrong. Darwin successfully predicted Morgan's sphinx moth. The theory itself, much more.

Marx theory had a number of flaws, but it might turn out to be essentially correct once AI destroys the labor based economy...

"A number of flaws." Capitalism did not fail. Even if you count the way that the AI revolution will change the economic landscape as post-capitalism, creation of AI was only possible though the SUCCESS of capitalism. AI represents the success of capitalism, not its failure.

Feudalism (rule by land owners) was replaced by capitalism (stock owners) due to industrialization.

Industrialization was not the success of feudalism. It happened in spite of feudalism. For the AI revolution to inspire communism as Marx described, it would be as if the tools of industrialization could only have been invented under a feudalist system, which is not true.

The tools of industrialization could probably not have been invented in a tribal society.
