By the way, I used the consciousness word only once in this discussion. As I want to highlight the fact that it is not binary, but graded.

Specifically, all humans are not equal in consciousness. Some go through their lives like robots in dynamic homeostasis :) some are aware.

My point is that this awareness of one's self in space and time (and beyond it) is present in all forms of life & not just humans.

Just as every atom has the potential to release immense energy, but only a few will actually do so, consciousness needs to be manifest.

We already discussed before about the limitations of the axiomatic approach, where you try to define everything precisely and build in it.

This is inferior to human language where meaning is inferred not only from words, but also by human intelligence interpolating between them

Of course, there is scope for error in understanding. But there is scope for error also in the axiomatic method, just hidden from us.

How can you achieve understanding from language if you don't understand your own words? Aren't you just conjuring up a wild dream?

If we both share the same dream, isnt it sufficient? OTOH even if we speak same language, if we don't share same qualia, we cant communicate

So I think it is better to invite each other into the dream world made up by our minds, which are each unique & also different from reality.

My mind has the ability to create absolutely arbitrary dreams within its limits of complexity. This is only interesting when seen as art.
