Yes. I used the consciousness word because there is nothing better. It is an inadequate and confusing word I agree.

But how can you use a word if you don't know what it means in that context? Are you not confusing yourself this way?

It is impossible to speak in language if you have to ve clear wgat every word means precisely. Do you really know what "time" is?

By the way, I used the consciousness word only once in this discussion. As I want to highlight the fact that it is not binary, but graded.

Specifically, all humans are not equal in consciousness. Some go through their lives like robots in dynamic homeostasis :) some are aware.

My point is that this awareness of one's self in space and time (and beyond it) is present in all forms of life & not just humans.

Just as every atom has the potential to release immense energy, but only a few will actually do so, consciousness needs to be manifest.

How is consciousness manifesting, and what does that have to do with atoms releasing energy, and what do you base that conjecture on?

I mean Consciousness is not reducible to a configuration of atoms (like electrical energy) but that it is their intrinsic nature (like mc^2)

You argue that consciousness is an emergent property. I point out that this is only a hypothesis and that I disagree with it.

Here, I was not talking about consciousness, but about goals of lifeforms...
