how can we set up a social network like tool as a highly functional exocortex?

Many attempts: intranet wikis, Slack, Ning, Google Docs, … All somewhat helpful, none quite right

problem w/ all these is tool > culture thinking. Wikipedia shows that tools are there to promote latter

another thing: u need high barriers to entry to ensure quality, but not to "keep the low-value-add ppl out"

good point. I am mostly thinking about filtering content rather than people, which may be wrong approach
@Meaningness@allgebrah1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
depends on the effect u want to achieve, as with anything

seriously, perhaps it is better to not entice authors to write better content but to be better authors?
@Meaningness@allgebrah1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
nah, the bottleneck is sales/marketing, not quality or quantity of material. Authors would do well to study

I was referring to improving the quality of a social network that provides shared cognition as a service @Meaningness @allgebrah
