What does the evidence say? Are allergic reactions becoming more common or just more well known?
more common. its is not as if people dying of peanuts was underdiagnosed in the 1970ies

I had a peanut allergy in the 1970s. But we didn't medicalize it.

Usually, it is life long. Severe reaction is deadly without treatment.
