@Plinz I know it’s anecdata but are there really any studies?

@michelteivel GTD lists seem to work really well if you have much on your plate

@Plinz Is GTD used by high-archievers like famous CEOs, generals or politicians?

@Plinz Or, for that matter, is GTD used by some serious thinkers or mathematicians?

@michelteivel but nobody can think seriously if they have to interrupt their thoughts every few minutes to remember the milk

@Plinz I’ve never had *any* anxiety about buying milk or non-essential stuff. On the other hand, had many about todo items.

@michelteivel You may have anxiety about sending 5 abstracts to 5 collaborators and fixing meetings, but not about ticking off 5 todo items.

@Plinz My hypohesis: people do more thanks to the todo list but mostly things they wouldn’t do otherwise. It’s too easy to add to the list.

@michelteivel Too theoretical. Simply download the test version of Omnifocus and try for a month if it makes your life better.

@Plinz I’ve used Omnifocus and many other todo lists for few years. For the past few months I’ve ditched them and 100x more productive.

@Plinz Exaggeration and it’s hard to come up with an objective measure but I began to focus on the most important things, saying ‘no’ more.

@Plinz In concrete terms, I no longer feel like a hamster ruled by the list and, paradoxically, I output better ideas and make more profit.
