I am sick and tired over the grift of politicization of mundane statistical algorithms as 'dangerous AI', but I am also concerned that currently, there seem to be no state or society level actors that should be entrusted with dangerously disruptive [hypothetical] AI technologies
I don't have a very good answer to that, but I would like to find out. I know a number of people that I would trust in such a context.

I think it involves building Gaia, and accepting that our species has duties that we cannot neglect without dire consequences. It means building new schools and a social immune system, control resource use, and implement predictive political regulation with error correction.
