Larger accounts (~1500+):
1. How has your experience of Twitter changed with increased popularity?
2. Do you use Twitter differently?
3. How do you deal with notifications?
4. Do you pay just as much attention to smaller accounts? Has that changed?

After the first few hundred followers I became a little more deliberate in what I said on Twitter, which I see as a good thing. I also gave up on creating some kind of branded professional. There was little subjective change between 1500 and 10K, I am still a weird niche account.

I basically use twitter as an interactive online notebook, but won't publish things that are appear to me to be too trivial, too weird, too personal or too controversial for public consumption.

I think you should do some controversial tweets once in a while

I am controversial enough as it is. I noticed that when I am writing more provocative things, many readers won't know me well enough as a person to understand the context, and take me to be literal where I am sarcastic, sarcastic where I am literal, cynical where I am romantic.
