If you hate Lily, no.

More generally, what annoys me is that Garland casts computer scientists and quantum physicists (which are usually hardcore aspies) as hyper normies. It's like a heterosexual auteur trying to making a deep reflection about the gay movement but portraying everyone as straight.

nop, the character is pretty flat and it stays like that. she is there for the ultra stylized profile shots. I enjoyed it anyway.

The flatness is not the problem, it’s the personality. I don’t like to spend several hours of my life in her presence.

Nope, the casting director really messed that up, brilliant series but Sonoya Mizuno just isn’t a leading actor..
-
I think that her performance as a shallow, entitled, self absorbed, emotionally stunted and slightly sociopathic millennial was convincing so far. I just find the character annoying and don't know why Forest would have hired such a liability into his quantum computing company.

The QM plot is wrong, but still gets it more right than 99% of TV out there. I enjoyed it.

It would not have hurt to hire a physics postdoc to vet embarrassing statements like "you would need one qbit per particle to simulate the universe", but the psychological mismatch between characters and roles is much more jarring to me.

It don’t understand the hate for Lily. I thought she was one of the highlights of a great series. It’s not perfect but my favourite new TV thing for several years. Incredible music. Highlights how ponderous Westworld is.
