Agree. The fault is shared by CDC, which failed in the same way. The US shouldn't be reliant on WHO in the first place.

Blaming the WHO for medical advice is nonsense, the WHO is not an independent scientific or medical institution. The WHO leadership is appointed as a political mouthpiece that will say whatever someone wants them to say.

It's unlikely that there would have been no pandemic at all in the US. So your hidden assumption here is, that the state and federal government would have reacted differently if the spread to the US had happened at a later time. I disagree.

The pandemic in the US could have been prevented by shutting down all travel from China, quarantining travelers and isolating all possible cases, for a few Billion dollars. The CIA must have followed the developments in Wuhan just as much as we did.
