Dude in cloth mask at 0.07. Most others have backs to camera and/or are too far away to see if they're masked. But also, lots of distance between people. I'm a prevention hawk, but I'm not sure this is terrible? Evidence seems to be outdoor transmission in sunlight is very rare.https://twitter.com/aravosis/status/1256687243739176965 …

The guy at 0:01 is wearing a cloth mask too -- the bandana at 0:07 is acceptable too. Buuuuuuuuuut sunlight doesn't do shit. The UV rays that disrupt viruses are UV-C and they're too short to pierce ozone. They are social distancing though, so that's good.

Very sure. Coronaviruses harbor in bats with a 105F body temp. People don't die from the virus but from the IS response, often creating fevers of lethal levels in humans (above 104) Australia in the middle of summer was not immune https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/australia/ … 1/2

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/philippines/ … Philippines with high humidity and summer are one of the worst Asian hit, with Malaysia (also tropic temps!) being worse And Italy with all its beaches and sunlight wasn't experiencing any benefit whatsoever. Nor did Iran, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, or Chile.

Although... I think the idea is that it doesn't spread *directly in* the sunlight? not that the presence of sunlight can prevent spread anywhere nearby?

Sunlight doesn't freeze/neutralize it. There are particles in sunlight that might get in the way of it vs. shade but given that even the studies LOOSELY AND POORLY cited state outright that most of the transmissions happen person to person; the biggest concern is idiots taking --

the "direct sunlight" to mean that they can go to the beach and this is fine. It is not. It is very very VERY much *Not*. If they only directly killed themselves I probably wouldn't care. Instead it increases mutations and risk for everyone else :(pic.twitter.com/zODdCsCYzb

probably not real (AZ does not have beaches; lake Havasu is too small for surf like this)
