It's 2020 and it's still a major pita to build a native GUI in Python on the mac; I am not getting this day back
I have decided that it's not worth it. I will use UI elements in matplotlib for prototyping, a websocket to render in Unity, and when I need more I will have to write everything in a C and import it to Python, or ditch the Python completely. Pysimplegui needs to many workarounds.

When I write a tool that I want more than one user to run on one machine, spending hours to tweak python installs and dependencies is not acceptable, and cannot be supported.

Seriously, why does Python's system library still come with the horrible Tkinter instead of decent native gui support? Where are the 2d and 3d graphics libraries? No way to fund this effort?

It's not good to hear about your struggling with PySimpleGUI. Question for you... are you on a Mac by any chance? If so, for almost 2 years I've watched Mac users struggle. When they switched to installing everything from http://Python.org , everything cleared up, magically
