I fear that all philosophical discoveries that can be made by an unaugmented human intellect after a lifetime of reading and thinking are in the past. The relevant frontier lies in getting serious about Leibniz' project of mathematizing and automating the search for truth: AI.

I wonder how Leibniz would have reacted to the thought that our idea of time can be described as the lawful accumulation of the correlation of information content across monads, and if such laws could allow recasting the notion of prestabilized harmony in a mechanical way.

It may also have made sense to discuss the notion of indivisibility (~computational irreducibility), and bring it together with the conditions of computability of his calculus of infinitesimals. It's pretty much an AI/ML question.
