US hospital administrations preventing nurses from using PPE (and even firing them if they do) strikes me as a unique phenomenon. I would like to understand why this happens in the US. I do think P(people report | dumb things in US happen) is inflated for other reasons. -
The main important idea here is that I *don't* think this is about some weird hangups on political signaling on if masks are effective, since that's the "obvious" story but it drops way below the stupidity horizon for stories like this, even for Americans.
