No matter how you look at it: our governments must have been informed in early January that COVID-19 would spread in our countries, and our governments failed to act on that knowledge. Large parts of our governments don't actually work and need to be dismantled and rebuilt.
Why call it anti-science of corporatism when it's just people following their actual incentives, and the constraints that emerge over other people following their incentives as well?

What are the incentives? I don’t think any are to send people to their death. The trends of federal & state action is only after they see the deaths & cases accumulate. I’m sure you’ve seen articles on how all warnings were ignored. Wouldn’t you agree scientists weren’t believed?

It was in the governments best interest to collect all necessary information, and not everyone working near the capitol is clinically stupid. Can you think of reasons that would reward the government for acting later than sooner despite knowing what would happen?
