Moldbug (Curtis Yarvin) is back with some sharp thinking on a plan for the C-19 fight. I by no means endorse this but I shall read it carefully several times.https://medium.com/@curtis.yarvin/plan-a-for-the-coronavirus-7db3997490c1 …

I would be more up for the fantasy of a Palo Alto ditator running COVID response if I hadn't been reading Elon Musk's tweets!

I am sure as a proto immortal he understands the need for effective long-term governance better than anyone; who else is going to make the sacrifice besides Reid Hoffman and Susan Wojcicki? Reid is too nice and Susan too mean.

I really don't know. I suspect Thiel is the highly functional result of his own programming: the immortalism is constructed to produce the optimal mindset for playing through infinite prisoner's dilemmas. If someone is willing to reprogram himself, he may be the ideal functionary

I'd be more concerned about Thiel not having children to inherit the world. Hope he loves the Thiel Fellows enough.
