I'm astonished that people think doctors, biomedical researchers, and public health professionals—who have devoted their lives to helping people—are lying about #hydrochloroquine treatment for #COVID19 just to hurt Trump, rather than expressing justified skepticism based on data.

I think there are various reason why people may be optimistic. We want out of this unimaginable situation. *I* wanted to be optimistic. The push *against* it as a miracle drug seems proportional to the misinformation I'm seeing on FOX etc. No one wants to stop testing it.

Even the studies quoted had modest results. Nothing that should have been termed a game changer. Promoting miracles is irresponsible

One anecdotal reference was a Doctor with 200+ cases of symptoms where he immediately started people on the cocktail. Who knows, if the bureaucracy and law are hindering the effort in one way I can certainly extrapolate that across the rest of the spectrum. Humans iterate.
