I'm astonished that people think doctors, biomedical researchers, and public health professionals—who have devoted their lives to helping people—are lying about #hydrochloroquine treatment for #COVID19 just to hurt Trump, rather than expressing justified skepticism based on data.

That seems about right. I don't know anyone against more research. I know a lot of people who are cautioning against seeing it as our way out of this mess.
-
If so, then stating that hydroxychloroquine does DEFINITELY does may be politically motivated, no? I've seen that several times, and find it plausible that some of the push against hydroxychloroquine was indeed motivated by revulsion against Trump's premature recommendation.

And a limited supply. And patients with terrible immune disorders who need regular doses of it. And a president who needs a win. And the drugs can be deadly.

The main study cited was TERRIBLE! Look at the stats from that study 26pts. Panned by every epidemiologist I know. It may work but need a randomized control trial to definitively say one way or other.

Can you link the ones with no effect? Every study I've seen shows 0 lost lives on HCQ.
-
There was one that showed same results as group receiving "normal" treatment. The rest have showed HCQ efficacy. But the "experts" want us to wait for RCT results.

Meanwhile doctors are using it themselves and others are dying every day. Wake the hell up and make a judgement on imperfect information.
