Okay, it seems like @NateSilver538 is doing a good job tracking how well lockdown is working in NYC and @gallabytes is looking at Italy and elsewhere.
Anyone else working on analyzing this? Any good links?
I have a high prior lockdown works but want to actively check this.

I believe what China did worked, but they did a lot more than just telling everyone to stay home.

China for sure did not ask people in Wuhan to continue riding the subway. In fact, they would have fired De Blasio, Cuomo, Carranza and other officials who systematically downplay the risks and get people killed.pic.twitter.com/wiSUyLsGpM

Yeah I can’t even with that, but NYC has been actually pretty locked down for a while now, which I would assume should work!

Cuomo is currently fighting tooth and nails against quarantining NYC escapees. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/ushome/index.html … De Blasio still does not grasp that his delays are responsible that NYC will have more COVID-19 victims than all of China combined.https://www.politico.com/states/new-york/albany/story/2020/03/28/de-blasios-coronavirus-crisis-1269480 …

The subway is still running, people are still on the streets and in the parks, there is no real lockdown, despite 52000 confirmed infections and 719 deaths, and a doubling rate for new infections of every 4 days. This is not contained at all.
