I have just discovered (during homeschooling) that my children are being taught at school that infinitely many numbers exist. Where do I have to send my petitions against this devastating creationist pre-Hilbertian falsehood?

Well you can be “suspicious” of it, that’s a fine emotion to have about it. But it is also provably consistent with the other basic axioms of set theory. So it is not the case that due to godel & turing, nonconstructable math is inconsistent.
