The gloves and mask won’t prevent as much as proper care. Even with gloves, people can touch their face, etc.

What kind of logic is that?

This is what is stressing me the most in Germany. There is so much social objection to using masks and gloves in public. I see only Asians using masks.
-
Same here. But in addition, most US hospitals really did not prepare and are now out of masks, and individual doctors are scouring home depot

I sourced 2 potentially good masks (just need to glue the valve shut to potentially save others from me should I be infected). should I keep them or send them to a hospital? Same for low-quality chinese ones that might arrive at some point.
-
I don't think that two make much of a difference. A lot of people systematically cleaned out the stores in late February and early March, we probably need to convince these folks to let go of their stash. And hospital workers will usually need certified gear.

Also always wipe down everything you can after they deliver it, and wash your hands no matter what.

It's still crucial that the person working the cash register or delivering letters and boxes to elderly people is not infectious.

First thing that happened in Germany was contactless Lieferando. The person leaves it on the floor, rather than handing it to you. All I could think was how is this not process based, enforced by customer demand? Process: the ppl packing are wearing mask/gloves. Handoff also.
-
Then, when they arrive at your home for the handoff the delivery person should take off the gloves in front of you, then use purell, put new gloves on; *then* put it on the floor.
