No, it’s not singular at all. I agree 85% with Aristotle on everything, and have almost no disagreements with Kant, Turing, Wittgenstein and even Aquinas. It was such a relief when I noticed that I am not alone.

The lock is the result of my difficulty to fall in shared trance. It’s a painful disability and also what makes me useful to others

And by calling it a shared trance you condescending judge what most of us would call the reality of being human. Rest assured that that POV is not useful to me, but I respect that you believe it is relevant to some.

I am not condescending, just estranged and appalled

I celebrate that you are self-aware of that state of being. A serious question: is this something you wish to change, or are content to remain, and be defined by being on your chosen side of the lock?

I don’t feel that I have a choice about this. I am trying the best I can do in this life.

Please know that I observe that you do have a choice. I have always found you to be intentional and introspective - both very powerful values - and seems to me that there is no law of physics that holds you back. The path will be hard, but it is not outside your reach.

Moreover, I am committed to playing the longest game and to serve civilization. But I don't see a path that leads me to merging with the general human hive mind, i.e. the present culture. It's the mind of a narcissist orkish monstrosity that violates truth and beauty.

And “serving civilization” may be a dangerous long game if the only expected outcome is a few minds that “get it” being tortured in isolation within the ignorant trance of the masses (do they even count as civilized in your worldview?)

I would add that civilization doesn’t care one whit whether you think you are serving it in the long term or not. To say so may make your quest sound noble in the face of suffering but ultimately one has to come to grips with one’s own happiness.

We never met, and Twitter is not a high fidelity medium. I don’t feel seen but I like what I can see.
