@Plinz I am still confused, if the death rate is 0.02% for individuals under 50 why is there all this panic? Can we not just concentrate on looking after the elderly while we wait for a vaccine?

According to the Chinese data, the mortality rate between 40 and 50 is 0.4% (20 times more than flu). Also, 20% hospitalization rate across all ages and risk of permanent damage. The medical system will exceed its capacity.

Ok thanks for clarity. The two camps are growing further apart. "Its just a flu" vs "Be very careful, don't go out without a mask, stock up on food"

Tracking the camps is interesting from a psychological perspective and important for predicting the stock market. I am more interested in tracking the ground truth.

The ground truth should be the aim for all of us, I feel some people are more concerned with ridiculing the other side. Where do you source your truth from, who do you trust?

When I read things, I try to understand the range of possible universes in which they could have originated. I am in one of those, but I cannot know which one. I mostly trust people that have good epistemology and don't have a practical or psychological motive to break from it.
