We have no idea of how many people got the virus because a ton of people got it and recovered. That 50 million number is done later with antibody studies. We didn't know it was that much at the time.

That's why the 2% mortality rate being discussed now is really misleading. It's 2% among all the cases that were verifiably confirmed to be COVID-19. That's a highly selective figure.

No they won’t. Just the same as SARS and H1N1, mortality rates continue and will continue to drop to a level probably the same as the two.

First, the 2% death rate is disproven by the Diamond Princess data, which is the only natural experiment for making a scientific estimate. The mortality rate is almost certainly less than 1%. Second, you can say, "If <any number>". It's a baseless extrapolation.
