I really hope that the US wakes up in the next few months, to the reality that the present mode of governance and the incentives, economic structure and administration of US healthcare are fundamentally inadequate and unworkable.

America is exceptional, in the sense that it is the one of the very few countries in the world that has enough resources and military power to maintain full sovereignty. But the US has currently no model of its future any more.
