ok its a trivial example, but the accumulation of these decisions over the years add up to explain a person. Bill Gates decided to start Microsoft, he decided to work really hard at it, then he decided to start his foundations etc etc. When we break down a person is just decision

Not necessarily. But Bill Gates' decisions are the result of Bill Gates' traits and the situations he found himself to be in.

I find that people often make the same decisions with very different feelings. The decisions are constrained by available options, which tend to be more constrained than how we face our options. Constructing the self may be more important.
