I sometimes reserve the last row on a flight figuring it's more likely to be empty of other people... so far this seems not such a common perspective so it often works..
In addition to Ben’s observation of frequent roominess, the back few rows are perfect for people impatient for the lavatory, patient for deplaning at the destination, and believers in reports of a greater statistical likelihood of surviving a crash from those seats. Stupid how?
I dunno, what about people who pay extra for exit row, only to find out their seats don’t recline?
