Phenomenal consciousness is two different things: the feeling of what it’s like, and the experience of the contents of attention. Which one it is depends on whether the self is constituted an the symbolic or on the perceptual side, in that moment.

These 2 things are not distinct. They are both '1st person' experiences(1PP). That is the single underlying explanandum. That one is generated by complex emotional states, another by sensory transduction, and another by cognitive processes is moot. It's all 1PP.
