Actually, time dilation and compression and widening happen constantly. A few seconds a go a car passed by your house, only now that I mention it are you conscious of it. The now is quite wide, and also there are very many of them.

It is always here and now, but here and now are arbitrarily large or small. Here can be 'at my desk' or 'on Earth'. Now can be 0:00:00:01 sec or it can be the entire 21st century. It depends on the *sense access* that is available. Sense and scale come before spacing and timing.
