Conscious experience does not happen with a delay from the present moment. It is always in the present moment. There is only the here and now. It is only the physical universe that is smeared out and looping weirdly when I am observing it from the conscious perspective.

On looping weirdly, have you read I am a Strange Loop by Douglas Hofstadter? I think you’d like it, especially his “careenium” metaphor of consciousness

Actually, time dilation and compression and widening happen constantly. A few seconds a go a car passed by your house, only now that I mention it are you conscious of it. The now is quite wide, and also there are very many of them.

Consciousness might be a speed of light vs terrestrial speed, relativity gap, along the lines of people growing old while you speed away at light speed; therefore, as our spirit moves on from this body maybe time seems frozen looking back at Earth? Ghosts move at c

This could mean our ghosts meet the ghosts of our loved ones right away, even if they die thirty years after us; we journey together even if one begins sooner from our perspective.

It is always here and now, but here and now are arbitrarily large or small. Here can be 'at my desk' or 'on Earth'. Now can be 0:00:00:01 sec or it can be the entire 21st century. It depends on the *sense access* that is available. Sense and scale come before spacing and timing.
