I think it is about being in control of the situation. The secession from the EU could have been a leftist project, but it happened to be championed by the right. If the roles had been reversed, we would see the same kinds of commercials using conservative tropes.

The main financial burdens of Brexit will be faced by the financial industry, which will be regulated by the EU as an outside competitor instead of as an internal parasite. Local producers and services may profit from having less outside competition, and low wages may increase.

Brexit forces the party in power to get their shit together and think about ways to improve the social contract and its implementation. All this should be more in the interest of the left than maintaining the influence of the lobbyists that run the European Commission.
