I think a country should fight against taxation by private parties, i.e. it work hard to prevent that a monopoly can extract revenues in ways that the 'customers' cannot avoid, because the incentives are encouraging unchecked parasitism.

This includes selling public buildings (schools, offices) and renting them back, private tolling companies, privatizing public transport monopolies and utilities, and effectively requiring private university certificates for higher public office.

In the US, private parties are effectively extracting massive amounts of effectively unavoidable taxes (especially health insurance and education) that subvert free market dynamics and lead to inefficient services while sucking the economy dry.
