If I am proficient in a field, I can try to 'out-model' others, i.e. predict their intellectual moves, and thereby understand my own ELO rating. Eg, I might now be able to think thoughts that naturally occurred to Chomsky at 17 or to Wolfram at 20 or Gauss at 10 or Mozart at 8...
