I am not sure what you mean by bias. The presently popular normie cult uses the term as newspeak for the difference between public and private opinion. Bias can also be a systematic distortion of the world model from the truth, or it can simply mean preference.

The comprehensively correct truth is just the global optimum of the modeling function. Without aiming for it, your modeling is bound to go wrong.

Exactly! If professed beliefs are used for coordination and resource allocation of groups, it is crucial to profess the right beliefs, not necessarily the logically correct ones. How else would your group know you are not part of a competing group that just uses the same logic?

I have to admit, I find a fully logical person with power to be a terrifying concept. I think that logic will utterly fail to meet human needs in the absence of emotional awareness
