@Plinz How do you respond to someone who says conscious experience can’t be a simulation bc simulations need a conscious observer in order to be experienced. (I didn’t even know where to begin.)

Apart from that, no. If consciousness is implemented, it is emerging over a computational process that could be primary or implemented and give no indication about the simulation hypothesis. If consciousness is primary, physics would somehow be implemented via consciousness.

Should have clarified: does the HP indicate consciousness is a simulation. I wonder if simulations only capture relational properties of the simulated and not the intrinsic properties. That’s why mind and matter seem different.
