You seem to lean towards the 'consciousness is an illusion' school there. I think that Koch does have it backwards yes, but there's a small chance he's right and there's an actual specific physical property that constitutes 'consciousness'. lack of knowledge makes me cautious

I think that Illusionism is an unfortunate name, because it seems to imply that people are somehow mistaken about being conscious. Virtualism might be better?
