Concepts are state machines, which establish the relationship between adjacent concepts based on their relative locations. An abstract concept computes the same result using fewer dimensions. Concepts are compositional, i.e. often implemented via adjacent concepts.

Are you familiar with the Web Ontology Language (OWL)? Similar. My personal view is that you can’t just define concepts in terms of other concepts - that’s Searle’s Chinese Room scenario. Symbol Grounding techniques are needed. Children start learning with situated embodiment.

Symbols are not grounded in the physical world, but in the mental simulation of a world that is in part physical (i.e. built on a causally closed mechanical layer that we model geometrically), and in part symbolic.

That would suggest that you can accurately define any concept using just two other concepts and a fraction in an infinite number of ways (“X is like A taken 85% towards B”)

A concept is a computable function, and enumerating all programs on a single continuous line is of course possible, but impractical and not very useful.I was suggesting to make each relationship between adjacent concepts a distance along one feature dimension.

No it’s not. Edges should have types/labels, at least.

It is sufficient to know the direction of the input parameter locations to sort them in the function implemented by the concept. You get the types by the specific way in which a value affects a concept, which depend on other parameters.
