1 cubic mm of cortex is 50K neurons. So approx 37 x 37 x 37 Pin head has 1 mm radius A half-sphere surface is 2 x pi x r^2 Hence ~8,600 Right?

That said, I’d like to imagine you’re referring not to geometry and density of cells, but to the more interesting idea of pulsing grid cells mapping the pin head. Which prob requires far fewer.
